Community

Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth. – Shirley Chisholm

At Alex Correa Executive we are committed to providing financial and volunteer support to charities, not for profit organisations and the arts community with whom we share a common passion.

not for profits

After a long association with the legal profession we are proud to announce our support of the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation.  The foundation aims to decrease distress, disability and the causes of depression and anxiety in the legal profession. George and Marie Jepson established the Foundation in 2008 in memory of their son Tristan, who tragically took his own life as a result of depression.

According to a 2006 study by Beaton Consulting and Beyond Blue, legal practitioners have the highest rate of depressive symptoms (15.2% compared with an average of 10.5%) in Australia.

Women’s Legal Service is a community legal service providing free legal advice and information to Women in Queensland.  In May 2011, Alex Correa Executive was proud to be amongst the group of sponsors for their annual fundraising art show in the Riverside Centre.  Money raised from the event went directly to support the WLS services aimed directly at Queensland Women.

With a philosophy ‘that all young people have a right to an education’ and staffed by a wonderful team of dedicated professionals, Southside Education provides a supportive environment for young women to complete their secondary schooling.  In 2010 Alex Correa Executive has supported Southside Education through the delivery of workshops on interviewing skills for its senior students.

Since 2002 Alex Correa has been a member of the Zonta Brisbane Breakfast Club and past chairperson of the Service Committee. Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. With more than 31,000 members belonging to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 66 countries and geographic areas, Zontians all over the world volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects, as well as scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling Zonta’s mission and objectives.
