Planning for 2012

As we come to the end of November, many of us are already talking about what will be achieved in 2012.  And so we should be!!! Whether we are planning exciting overseas holidays, renovations, changing careers or finally clinching that promotion, planning is fundamental to achieving goals.

Although some may be put off by the whole ‘planning’ process, when we really think about it, we already have ‘unwritten’ plans that are just waiting to be executed.  Plans that are conceived at the most unexpected moments and although we have not committed them to paper, they are ‘living’ in our mind as a fluid and ever evolving map.  Unlike a written plan that has timelines and objectives, this plan goes on ‘gut feel’, optimising opportunities as well as being inspired and cultivated by those influencers in our lives.   This plan can also act much like a compass guiding and directing our actions.   And yes although on some occasions it may be brought to a screeching halt due to the ‘realities of life’,  it has allowed you to ‘test ideas’ and possibly allowed you to bring into focus the dreams that live deep within.

Check out the world’s most popular goals on 43 Things.  You might be surprised to find how many of your goals are on the list!
